The Cask Legacy was create in honour of the master craftsmen of Laphroaig. Rich and deep. The Cask Legacy is a testament to the exceptional qualities for which Laphroaig is famous. Peat Smoke with caramelised dark fruit and oiled wood notes. We reach this distinction by resting the liquid in first-fill and second-fill, over-charred bourbon barrels, before the whole whisky moves on to a further maturation in virgin European oak hogsheads. This is a finish new to Laphroaig - where the lager cask size leads to slower maturation, and a whisky of greater depth. It's a rich layered and deep taste, ready to be savoured neat or over ice as you condsider the long tradition behind this exceptional Laphroaig
