The nose was bountiful with caramel, rum soaked raisins, honeyed walnuts and apple tarte tatin. The panel found perfumed mingled with smoke, damp terracotta and cooling eucalyptus. In contrast, it was hot to taste with bagfuls of butterscotch and warm spices of nutmeg, clove and cinnamon. Toasted rye bread with sticky golden syrup and sesame with strawberry jam. The warmth was like a musty greenhouse with crushed tomato leaves underfoot. Then the panel went bananas with chewy banoffee pie, Digestive biscuits and sticky toffee pudding all washed down with milk chocolate - delicious!
