This one was a slow starter but continued to develop when given time. At first we got slight metallic, earthy and oaky aromas which then became sweet popcorn, marzipan and spicy ginger snap cookies, ending in a well roasted pork joint with crispy baked potatoes. To taste immediately a foodie theme appeared; Szechuan pepper and honey pork slices in a sweet red wine reduction. Water released the sweetness of butterscotch, orange crème caramel cheesecake and sugared almonds and the flavour was now sweet, fresh and fruity like a Pimm’s and Lemonade using mint leaves and orange slices.
