Tasting Notes. Aged: 17yrs. Description: I've been watching Cask 1231 for a while and am honoured to be releasing it. In my 17 years at Glengoyne this is the best cask I have tasted. Full of sherry and soft oak, with layers of vanilla and marzipan. Heaps of complexity and no rough edges whatsoever. Wood Type: 1st Fill Oloroso Sherry Hogshead. Cask No.: 1231. No. of Bottles: 279. Strength: 70cl 56%. Distillation Date: 6th July 1989. Bottling Date: August 2006. Approved By: Charles Owen Murray.
